York Country Day School seeks an experienced and innovative full-time elementary teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate is passionate about teaching elementary-aged children, knowledgeable of childhood cognitive developmental needs and appropriate practices, well-versed in child-centered learning, and capable of creating an environment that fosters a love of learning. The individual selected will be expected to motivate, assess, engage, and develop student learning while managing the routine daily activities of Lower School students.

Middle & Upper School Science Teacher

York Country Day School seeks a dynamic and dedicated Science teacher to join the faculty full-time starting in the 2025-2026 school year.
Beginning upon hire, the teacher will teach courses in Science for assigned grades in the Middle & Upper School divisions. The primary area of academic focus will be Biology. The ideal candidate will connect well with students in each age group. Interested candidates should have expertise in 21st century learning within the classroom and knowledge with meaningful learning experiences for students. The teacher will be called upon to advise students and sponsor a club as well. All teachers are expected to be involved in the life of the school and participate in school events. -

Summer Program Counselor (Preschool-Grade 6)

Summer Programs Counselor positions available at York Country Day School June 2, 2025- August 8, 2025. It will be a flexible work schedule of no more than 29 hours per week between the hours of 7:00am and 5:30pm, Monday through Friday, with a beginning hourly rate of $12. Responsibilities include assisting the program director and summer program supervisors with summer instruction for students in grades preschool through grade 6. Patience, reliability, flexibility, enthusiasm and experience working with elementary-age children are a must. High School diploma, at least 18 years old, and experience working with elementary-age children is required. -

Responsibilities include assisting the Summer Program Director with summer programming and instruction for students in preschool through grade 6. The applicant should have a passion for STEAM lesson planning.
Patience, reliability, flexibility, enthusiasm and experience working with elementary-age children are a must. High School diploma, minimum age of 18, and experience working with elementary-age children is required. -

York Country Day School is seeking a part-time Teacher Aide to join our well-established Early Childhood team. The Teacher Aide maintains and contributes to an exceptional learning environment for students aged 2 1/2 through 4 years. The Teacher Aide participates fully in the life of the school, including collaborating with the team in a mission-driven environment.
